MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC
I’m a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who enjoys collaborating with motivated individuals who wish to grow and foster their best selves. I promise to meet you where you are and I aim to foster a safe environment for you to express your core values and needs.
I started my nursing career in San Francisco, CA where I received my Certified Nursing Assistant certificate in 2006 and then I became a Registered Nurse in 2009. I have 12 years of experience working in mental health in the community, inpatient and outpatient settings. I currently work part-time in community mental health serving Multnomah County residents in crisis. In my private practice, I love observing my clients regain confidence and witness their positive transformations throughout the therapeutic process. I work mainly with adults ages 18 to 65, though licensed to treat all ages, in the Portland Metro region and I am licensed to practice in the state of Oregon and Ohio.
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The Ohio State University and then a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Capital University’s accelerated nursing program. In 2016, I received my Masters in Nursing Practice at The Ohio State University College of Nursing. I am licensed in the State of Oregon and my home state of Ohio as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner as well as being board credentialed nationally by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Emotional wellness involves a combination of treatment modalities including but not limited to; psychotropic medications, psychoeducation, psychotherapy, and lifestyle adjustments such as diet and exercise. My role is to utilize as few medications as possible to gain maximum benefit while minimizing potential side effects.
Prior to nursing, I worked as a floral designer which I still love as a hobby. In my spare time I also enjoy traveling with friends and family, supporting local arts, eating at the next best restaurant, dragon boating (Go Team Fusion!), playing pinball and hiking or kayaking with my dog Ted that I rescued in 2021.
